It's amazing to believe how fast time flies. I feel that it was just yesterday that we were celebrating Christmas and today, a good part of the year is over. I'm frequently reminded at how age is catching up and I loathe it every time I look at the added wrinkles discovered on my face. But that's part of the natural ageing process than none of us can get away from, well if you don't choose to meddle with nature and do such things as cosmetic surgery. My dream of course, is to stay young and look as Martha Stewart but I reckon I need to drain up all my savings to be capable to afford that.
There are bunches of stuff that can make Christmas fun and one of them is gift offering. Those people that aren't close to me regularly label me as cheapskate when they realize that I don't shop any time other than Christmas. What they are generally unaware of is I generally pile up all my savings and spend each of them during the merry shopping season. Not everyone will manage to develop such habit as there will be many temptations that come along the manner and some of them are really irresistible.
Looking at all the Christmas trends nowadays, the shift from conventional to electronic cards is one thing that concerns me the most. I recall that before, all the children in the home would be searching for the postmen who frequently dressed themselves as Santa Claus. We'd put all the cards together and once there are enough of them, we'd set it up and that by itself, is one of the best part of our holiday ornamentation. You can probably see the reason I 'm a bit concerned with the shift towards electronic cards. Ecard may be convenient and cheap, but the feeling is somehow lost if you ask me.
I know we are occupied with whatever we're doing and thinking about Christmas isn't something we do before the month of December. But I believe it is significant for any family to develop a Christmas convention as it's the best way of bringing everyone together. If you have not had a great memory of Christmas, it may be time that you pause whatever you're doing in life and give it a serious consideration. The joyful season offers tons of chances to do purposeful things but none of them will occur without important commitment from us.
